So I did a little test this last month or so,I joined 2 poker forums.I have been a reader at these 2 forums off and on over the past few years but had never actually joined them.One was CardsChat the other was pocket fives.
I have never been treated so poorly by a group of individuals as I was at these two poker forums.I was permanently "banned for Life"from cardschat after repeatedly being verbally assaulted and demeaned by established members from the site..I started a thread about my favorite poker site and was immediately flooded with hate spewing replies.I defended myself and the site I was posting about,and for that I was told by staff that I was confrontational.
I started a thread detailing how to build a bankroll at this site where I've been very successful over the past 3 years of my online career.I offered to help anyone that wanted it and I got replies that quite frankly were worse than anything my 2 ex wives have ever had to say about or to me.I did get some positive replies, however for every one that was positive I got 5 that were slamming me for no reason.Calling me a liar, a prop for the site, saying my info was bogus(this came from a guy that had never played at the site).
I was insulted and finally after having enough of this crap I started firing back snide remarks to any rude post on my thread.Well to make a long story short,It was one of the very worst experiences I've ever had concerning anything to do with Poker.I wont bother detailing my experience at pocket fives for it was a carbon copy of the cards chat fiasco but I was only suspended for 1 week there.I left feeling dirty and a bit disappointed in my fellow man.In closing If you are considering joining a Poker forum don't.Spend your time reading a free article or book about poker, not fielding abuse from a bunch of "holier than thou" online jackals that are just waiting to troll and out for your head for no apparent reason....coyboy33
